Created in 2004 the Camp Long Lake Alumni Association servers several purposes.
First, it offers
those Scouts and Scouters who have
moved out of the area or perhaps
retired from the program a means of
staying in contact with old friends
at Camp Long Lake.
Second, it serves as a natural means
of maintaining communication
across the many years of people
Camp Long Lake has touched. As the 60th
anniversary of Camp Long Lake
approached in 2006, the association
served a prominent role in organizing
the Anniversary program and
reunion.
Third, the Association is being
formed as a support network to assist
the Camp in special projects. It is hoped that the
Alumni Association will be able to
assist on a weekend prior to the
opening of summer camp with setting
up the program areas. By utilizing
the knowledge and skills of so
many talented Scouts and Scouters it
should enhance the pioneering projects,
gateways, and physical layout
of the program areas.
Every year you are given the opportunity to come to camp for the family and friends dinner, held on the last Wednesday of the summer. This event keeps friends of camp long lake in contact even in years a anniversary celebration is not taking place. For more information contact the CLL camp office.
